| What a great weekend for an additional, informal fly-in. Perfect weather, warmish for the time of year, and a great excuse for a massive bonfire and a large selection of fireworks!
Saturday was enjoyed by all. The weather was not an excuse for flying as it was perfect, blue skies and no wind whatsoever. As the grass was wet from the past few days campers camped out on the peritrack. Flying was active all day.
The bonfire was lit at 6:00pm (with a gallon of my duramix 5% ) :-( The clubs best chefs, being Alan Brown, Glenn Masters and Chris Moore kept everyone occupied with mushy peas and chicken soup until the fireworks started, this being at about 7:30pm
Everyone enjoyed the display kindly put on for us by Noel Gubbins (the ex-chairman) and Tom Shaw. |
