Events Rules and scoring
Touch and Go

Total duration: 3 minutes.
Take off from the runway.
Within the three minute period touch and go on the spot landing target as many times as you can.
The spot landing will be taken from where the main wheels first touch the ground.
Points will be awarded for spot landings on the runway target in the ratio of 50 for centre and 30 for next circle 20 for next circle 10 for the outer circle and 0 points for anywhere else.
The aircraft must be in an airworthy condition after landing.
If any of the participants feel the aircraft is not in airworthy condition after the spot landing the pilot may be asked to fly again to prove its airworthiness within five minutes.
The only part that may be changed on the plane is a broken propeller.
Climb and Glide

Take off from the runway and climb to altitude for thirty seconds only.
The engine must then be cut to dead stick.
During your dead stick glide you will be asked to throttle up to prove you are dead stick.
From when the engine is cut to dead stick you will be timed to your spot landing back on the runway.
One point will be awarded for every second of glide.
Points can be gained for spot landings on the runway target in the ratio of 50 for centre and 30 for next circle 20 for next circle 10 for the outer circle and 0 points for anywhere else. But points for the most impressive missed landing may be awarded if the judges are suitably impressed!
The aircraft must be in an airworthy condition after landing.
Taxi and Fly.

Part one timed:
Taxi aircraft around prescribed ground course which ends on centerline (taken across the runway) of the runway target, then take off. This will be timed from the go signal until the main wheels leave the ground.
Part two, landing:
Points can be gained for spot landings on the runway target in the ratio of 50 for centre and 30 for next circle 20 for next circle 10 for the outer circle and 0 points for anywhere else. But points for the most impressive missed landing may be awarded if the judges are suitably impressed!
The aircraft must be in an airworthy condition after landing.
Points scoring for each event.

Each Fun-Fly event consist of six rounds, three held on the Sunday and three more on the following Thursday.

The single aerobatic event will be judged by Steve Mallinder whose scoring will establish a final standing that will be used to awarded points as shown below. Details of the actual flying manoeuvres will follow as soon as I get them from Steve
